I read BLS over a year ago and its principles are ingrained into my diet and exercise philosophy still today. Most of my physical improvement has been a result of responsible macro tracking and practicing heavy, compound lifts.

Bigger Leaner Stronger is the most complete fitness guide I have ever read. Michael Matthews does an amazing job backing his claims with scientific evidence and studies.

Matthews is amazingly thorough on every aspect of fitness. He finds studies to support his positions in the areas of psychology, nutrition, and strength and conditioning.

BLS has a formulaic diet that anyone can copy and make all their own. You can eat whatever fits your macros and makes you happy.

Michael Matthews provides formulas for cutting, maintaining, and bulking diets. You can read my article to learn how I adopted the Bigger Leaner Stronger diet and made it work for me. You can copy my example and get in shape pretty fast. Mike Matthews recommends cutting for approximately 8 weeks at a time. I've been training for a long time; over a decade. I have taken the parts of the Bigger Leaner Stronger workout plan that I enjoy best and made them my own.
